When there's something that I want, I won't stop until I've gotten it. That's the way that I've lived my life. Does that apply to anything that happens here? I don't see any reason for that to change.
There's still many places in this resort that I haven't seen, and I'm keen to find out why any of us were brought here. There's no shortage of depraved people here, and I'd rather not become a gambling addict or someone prone to chase after scared newcomers in the Vale for fun.
I'd rather not broadcast everything. Suffice it to say that I'm a professional actor and model, and also a student. I won't pretend that I have room for growth, but I'm very good at what I do.
Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and FoodThese may not be applicable depending on others' worlds. Reading is my major pastime, whether it's reading scripts, books, or magazines. Learning is a passion of mine.

You said you found statues of those two underclassmen, right?
Someone here comes from a world where almost everyone got turned into stone during a mass extinction event. He said there was a revival fluid they used to turn people back in his world. And now he's saying he has the ingredients for it.
He explained how it works here:
>>11513806
I know it sounds suspicious, so I do NOT blame you at all if the answer is no. But if you do think it's worth a shot, we could test it on one of the statues you found.
no subject
I think it's important to rule out what may or may not work, considering what different people can bring to the table here. I'm not hopeful, but any result would be moving forward.
What would be needed? Just one of their statues' locations?
no subject
That's exactly how I feel. I don't want to get my hopes up, but I do think we should be trying everything.
Just the location. And your permission, of course.
no subject
For the record, I've already tried the most likely magic in my repertoire to have effect on the statue. So a non-magic solution is at least something different.
You have my permission, but that of course doesn't account for what either Deuce or Azul would have wanted. But logically, it's not something any of us would have thought would require permission.
Deuce is in the gardens. Azul is in one of the circling corridors close to the casino floor. I can show you to either of them.
no subject
Thanks. I guess we might attract less attention in the garden than in the casino. I can't say I knew Deuce-kun well enough to know how he would've felt about this, though.
The one thing I can promise is that we'll take responsibility if anything does happen to the statue. I should also mention that at least 2 people here have come back from being statues, in case you didn't know. Or in case that changes your answer.
no subject
Let me know when you would like to go. As you know, the garden is quite expansive, so it's not easy to give directions.
I'm familiar with one of the people who came back from being a statue, but knowing it's apparently not a fluke is mildly concerning. Have you heard of any of the statues moving and trying to grab people?
no subject
I'm more concerned about why some people *don't* come back, to be honest. I've been trying to figure out why it happens in the first place, but the answers I've heard don't make any sense. They all blame it on a lack of sex, but Rinne-senpai just disappeared, and I don't think he was hurting in that department.
And yep, that was happening 2 months ago. I got chased down by two of them. Both times, someone had to smash its head in. Once the statue was broken, it said something about "just wanting to feel alive again." Then it turned into dust.
I don't think those were guests. At the very least, they weren't guests who had their head on straight. They were trying to force themselves on people.
no subject
Do you have any reason to believe they weren't guests? I didn't run into any moving statues myself, but the person who told me about it seemed fairly convinced they were.
no subject
[It's not like he didn't have the same thought when he saw them start moving around. He thinks about Bakugo's panicked reaction after shattering one and he frowns to himself.]
Both of the people who came back from being statues kept their regular personalities, at least as far as I know. Whereas all those statues seemed to be behaving in the same violent way. And they said the same thing when they died.
If those were guests, then either their personalities got wiped, or they hadn't fully woken up yet. And something else, like the House or some curse, was controlling their bodies.
Or at least that would be my assumption. Do you know why that person thought they were guests?
no subject
Regardless, it's something to keep track of now. If others come back that are remembered.
[...Speaking of which.]
Did you talk to Rinne about any of these possibilities? About him disappearing again?
no subject
Especially since that one person seems like he might burn himself out, to be honest. If he hasn't already, that is.
And not really. The last time he disappeared, nothing unusual happened. He said he just went to sleep one night, and when he woke up next, a whole month had passed. We never came up with any plan about what to do if it happens again.
[They should have. Why didn't they?
His head swims. It's no excuse, but...]
But I was more worried about Jun-kun. About Jun-kun, and about myself.
I thought we were the ones in danger, since we never follow the rules around here. I didn't worry as much about Rinne-senpai, even though he'd already gone missing once before.
no subject
What kind of danger does this person present if he burns himself out? Has he mentioned some kind of toll to his research?
I wonder if Rinne ever pondered the possibility of something like this happening. He always seemed bombastic and lighthearted, but he was undoubtedly more observant than he let on.
Whatever the case, clearly following the rules and playing the game doesn't protect you from the House's whims. It makes me all the more skeptical something actually happens when you reach 52.
no subject
He said he got nosebleeds when he spent too much time researching. He also said he'd get an unnerving feeling afterwards, like someone was digging through his mind. He said it felt like the House was digging back in response to him digging through their magic.
Then things got worse recently. He messed around too much, and they retaliated by branding the word "transgressor" into his skin. He also lost his sense of touch for a bit.
Clearly it's dangerous to rebel the way he did. But as you said, playing the game won't protect you, either. So I'm not sure *what* to do.
I do wonder about the wish thing, though. Have you spoken to J or Jin Mingming before?
no subject
Interesting. From such a description, it sounds like the House is an entity capable of retaliating once you try to make contact with it. Otherwise anything is done through changing the resort itself.
I've spoken to J a few times. Won a game against him, technically. But I haven't had the pleasure to speak to Jin Mingming. Did they have something to say about winning the game?
no subject
I'm not sure how they proved that they'd granted her wish. She seems like a smart woman, so I want to think she wouldn't have accepted something flimsy. She and J both claim the wishes *do* work.
Even if that's true, though, it sounds like you only get one. And if you use your one wish to help someone else, you can't use it on yourself. If I completed my game board and made a wish to revive Rinne-senpai, I'd be stuck here forever. So it's either I leave him behind, or I rot in this place.
That's the "game" we're all playing.
